A hot and fairly new product is causing waves in the marketplace, and some are even going as far as calling it one of the best inventions of the decade. The electronic cigarette, or the e cigarette as the industry calls them, is a battery-powered contraption that resembles and acts like a tobacco cigarette. So what are its benefits?

First, a quick explanation of how it works. The e cigarette is designed to be used like a real cigarette. It has a smoke-like vapor, which evaporates within seconds, that contains different strengths of or no nicotine that the user inhales. This vapor is stored inside a refill cartridge that is heated up by the atomizer.

So its first benefit? No ashes and no smoke. The atomizer simply heats up the e liquid and turns it into vapor. There is no need for a lighter or no need for an ashtray. People who are sick and tired of having their home, clothing, and other belongings smell like smoke all the time will be glad to know that the vapor is odorless and does not leave any residue behind. You won’t have to worry about accidentally burning down your house by leaving a burning cigarette somewhere it wasn’t supposed to be left or falling asleep with it in your hand, which happens more often than you would think.

Your physical appearance would improve. Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals, and your body is being subjected to these toxins and carcinogens every single time you light up. Cigarette smokers’ skin tends to be paler and more clammy because of the lack of proper oxygen. Of course, there is the issue of bad breath and bad-smelling, well. . . Everything about you would smell.

Then there are the obvious health benefits. Again, over 4,000 chemicals are present in tobacco smoke, and you are inhaling all of that. What are those toxins doing to your system? There is a reason why the body coughs and reacts adversely to someone who smokes for the first time: the body is rejecting the nicotine and doesn’t want to have anything to do with it. With enough use, however, the body and mind become dependent on the nicotine.

On average, a smoker’s life is cut short by as little as seven years or as much as 20 years. Not smoking cigarettes means not becoming another statistic for smoking-related disease or premature death. Not smoking cigarettes means having better health and a better future.
