Hence the addict finds that all the fore mentioned needs are transposed by the singular need of the drug. Also the way in which Cocaine affects the mind makes it dangerously addictive from the very first time it is used by the drug user. Drug addicts report that the drug gives an almost immediate high – this is also true of the comedown or ‘Crash’. Thus after such a devastating fall after such a high the user is filled with an overwhelming desire to take more. This scenario is intensified by the fact that the drug addict will become tolerant to the amount of cocaine. To reach the high that he previously had he will need to take even more of the drug.
