Have you ever asked yourself why the joint injuries occur? Any individual who have been exercising for a while may know the importance that the joints have in an individual’s ability to continue training with determination. It is true that if one’s joints are not operating to the maximum, the ability to lift weights and carry out some specific body building exercises become limited. For bodybuilders, there are numerous causes for joint injuries. The best part of this is that it is possible for the body builders to avoid the joint injuries through getting involved in the exercises that are recommended, correct nutrition, supplementation and best recovery or rest tactics.

Several body builders and fitness enthusiasts end up with injured joints due to the excessive use of weights on an exercise coupled with bad lifting techniques. Basically, using the heavy weights may lead to bursitis which is the small sacks filled with fluid which reduces friction on the joints. The parts of the body that experience this condition mostly are the shoulders and the elbows. It is not easy to bench with bad shoulders or elbows therefore the body builders should avoid any mistake tat may lead to such conditions. Bad lifting techniques can also cause tear on one’s tendons which may lead to tendonitis which can in turn lead to misalignment of the joint.

Note that some supplements such as creatine may cause the muscle strength to skyrocket. This is a crucial issue and when it comes to such cases, it is best to slowly take control the pace or rate at which the weight is added to the exercises for instance, if more weight is to be put on the bar, it is best to oft for carrying out more repetitions. This is so because the muscle strength rises quickly and so fast as compared to the joint strength therefore increasing the load of training so fast can lead to a joint injury.

Most of the joints especially the muscles need proper nutrition and proper rest. The absence of the required nutrients may diminish the body’s ability to get used to stress. If an individual continues to carry out the body building exercises with improper nutrition, the micro tears may start occurring on his or her tendons and also deterioration of the joints cartilage may occur which may in turn lead to more tear and wear on the joints. Generally low levels of nutrition accompanied by hard training may lead to more serious diseases thus it should be avoided at all costs. Any individual who is involved in body building training should be able to take care of his or her nutrition as well.

Consistence overtraining and lack of proper rest may also lead to joint problems. Excessive training or consistent training and more than six reps or less may lead to trauma in one’s joints which may accumulate and cause tendonitis or a full tear among others. Note that if your body cannot recover completely, some of the trauma will remain and accumulate over time. Also lack of proper rest and sleep may affect an individual’s recovery.
