Admit it, from time to time you drink water straight from the tap in your home, and you almost always instantly regret it. You do not know why you do not like the water from the tap, you just know that you do not like it. But why? The water is clean after all….right? Take out a glass, and then pour some water into the tap, and then take a long look at it. Well, what are all those little…things floating around in your water and making it so murky? If your water is REALLY clean, you should be able to look straight through to the other side of the glass, right? Absolutely.

It is a known fact that most tap water is just simply not clean. Sure, it is safe, but that does not mean that it is clean. For example, areas that use a lot of pesticides usually have a few leftovers that make their way into the water system of towns, and as a result the water that comes from the tap is murky, tastes funky, and is almost enough to make one sick upon looking at it. If you seriously want cleaner water, then there is a solution out there. That solution is to buy a gravity water filter.

A gravity water filter is a simple container that acts as a strainer for water. When water is pushed through the filter, the filter removes anything from the water that is harmful. It will take out those pesticides that make your water murky, it will even remove (to an extent, that is) harmful bacteria such as E. Coli, Salmonella, and others. Keep in mind that there is not a one hundred percent chance of the filter being able to remove harmful bacteria, but there is definitely less of a risk of one getting sick.

But let us say that you are not a person who drinks water from the tap. Instead you get your water from a well. Well, you are probably even more at risk for putting harmful bacteria into your body through your water. This is due to the fact that many well systems usually have the bacteria already there, so if your water comes from a well, then you could definitely benefit from the use of a gravity water system.

Remember that while a gravity water filter can be a tremendous help in making your water fit for drinking, it is not a one hundred percent foolproof fix, but it is pretty darn close!
