Have You Become A Mindless Cigarette Smoker

Have you ever been around a cigarette smoker that just lights up one right after the other? Are you a smoker and have found that this is something that you also catch yourself doing? It is so easy to notice when someone else is chain smoking, but when you are doing it you might not notice it that much until you are way into the habit. It is mindless smoking. This is when you just automatically reach for one for no reason at all other than you are addicted to the habit. Your mind is constantly wanting the dopamine release that cigarette smoking causes. It is like a child who wants candy constantly.
Everyone knows what happens to a child when they are allowed to have candy every time they want it. They get rotten teeth and usually gain a lot of weight. It makes them sluggish and very unhealthy. They can get diabetes at an early age. It is the same scenario when someone chain smokes. You are constantly filling your lungs with smoke and are probably not getting many pure air breaths at all during your day. It is akin to being in a burning building all day everyday. How healthy do you think that is?
Smoking will age your skin prematurely anyway, so how much faster do you think you will age when you chain smoke? When you are thirty and chain smoke you are more likely to look forty. When you are fifty you could look like you are seventy. It is not a pretty picture to envision is it? If you think what you are going to look like in a few more years on the outside is bad, just imagine if you could take a look on the inside. That will really be something gruesome to see.
Chain smoking is not something that you can ignore for long if you want to live for very long. The more you smoke, the greater your chances are for being someone that develops lung cancer or some other terminal smoking related illness. You might not ever get to live until your seventies or even your sixties if you continue to chain smoke. Smoking any at all is bad enough, but chain smoking will kill you even faster in most cases. You might be smoking mindlessly now, but when you are diagnosed with lung disease or some other illness at forty, you will probably do a lot of thinking about how much you have smoked then.
