In this day and age there are very few things we have that can legitimately be called a necessity. However, the four basic necessities are still valid: food, clothing, shelter, and water. While water is one of the most abundant resources on the entire planet, it does not, necessarily mean that the water that you constantly drink from the tap or from the well on your property or in the bottles from the super market is clean. If you were to pour the water from any one of those mentioned sources into a glass, you would find that the water turns out to be murky, filled with particles of things that you do not even want to know the origin of.

If the home you live in does not use tap water, but operates with a well, then the problem may be even worse, as wells are notorious for carrying water that is not only unclean, but potentially dangerous as many wells contain bacteria such as E. Coli and salmonella. This is usually due to the fact that as many properties lie in cities and towns use the tap, but most places with wells had their wells built a long time ago, and rust has been able to accumulate in the pipes, along with other particles.

However, there is a way for you to be able to have clean, and safe, drinking water with the help of a gravity water filter. A gravity water filter is a device that you pour water into from almost any source, including tap water and well water. What the filter does is take out any particles that would make your water unsafe, such as rust particles, dirt, and basically anything you throw at them. There is even a high success rate for removing bacteria such as the previously mentioned E. Coli and salmonella.

The way it works is that a series of fibers catch all of the particles, similar to how sand filters allow the water to pass through, but leave everything but the water behind. It is similar to how when you put noodles, or any other food you boil, through a strainer, and only the water passes through. Now you will know exactly the difference between the nasty murky water that fills your tap and well water and the perfectly clear, see through water that you can now drink with the confidence that you will not get sick.
